The program provides the cultural and methodological foundations, and in-depth knowledge of technologies, equipment, systems for the acquisition, processing and data transfer, as well as techniques for the protection of data and communications.
Information Communication Technology (ICT) engineers can successfully work in a variety of settings, such as:
1 Company solutions design, system architecture and application, data transfer and acquisition and its application and architecture;
2 utility providers and operators of critical infrastructures, including hospitals, banks and operators in the transport and military sectors;
3 organizations and companies for which ICT is an essential technology, such as the healthcare and automobile sectors.
The Master of Science in Data and Communication Security Engineering aims to prepare high-level graduates, able to promote and manage technological innovation in the ICT sector. The ability to follow the rapid changes in ICT technologies, understanding at the same time and in depth its weaknesses, enables graduates trained in this course to design, implement and operate the most appropriate security measures for the protection of information systems and networks from attacks, according to business priorities and constraints in terms of economic and time resources.
