Interuniversity program with the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”
(professional qualification of Nurse)
The Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Nursing (professional qualification of Nurse), Class L/SNT1, aims to train professional nurses who acquire the competencies established by Italian Ministerial Decree No. 739 of September 14, 1994 (professional profile of the nurse), Law No. 42/1999, Law No. 251/2000, and their subsequent amendments and additions, as well as by the Code of Ethics for Nurses.
At the end of the program, graduates are awarded a degree that qualifies them to practice as professional nurses. The main goal of the course is to prepare qualified professionals capable of promoting and safeguarding the health of individuals and communities.
The Bachelor’s Degree program in Nursing qualifies graduates to practice the profession of Nurse. The degree is officially recognized in all European Union countries and can be validated in most other countries as well. Graduates may work either in the private or public sector, within the National and Regional Health Services, as well as in accredited private facilities in Italy and abroad — including healthcare services within sports, maritime, and tourism organizations.
The Interuniversity Bachelor’s Degree Program (in partnership with the University of Campania “Vanvitelli”) in Nursing (professional qualification of Nurse), Class L/SNT1, responds to the growing demand for skilled professionals in the healthcare sector. It addresses the needs of the territory and the community not only in the traditional healthcare contexts but also in areas related to sports, maritime, and tourism activities, which are less represented in the regional educational offer.
The program awards a Bachelor’s Degree that serves as a qualification to practice as a Registered Nurse, following registration with the professional board of the Professional Nurse Association.
The Bachelor’s Degree program in Nursing lasts three years and requires the completion of 180 educational university credits. The educational pathway aims to train professionals with the necessary knowledge, applied skills, clinical judgment, critical thinking, as well as technical, relational, and educational abilities within the nursing discipline, as defined by the professional profile and the code of ethics. A particular focus is placed on the training of onboard (maritime) and sports nurses.
The program includes core, program specific, and elective teachings, structured through face-to-faces classes, seminars, exercises, and independent study. Traditional academic activities are complemented by supervised curricular internships in healthcare facilities of the National and Regional Health Systems, as well as in sports, maritime, and tourism organizations that meet the program’s educational objectives and have established specific agreements. These experiences enable
students to gradually assume greater responsibility and develop professional and decision-making autonomy within their specific disciplinary field. Attendance is mandatory for both face-to-face classes and internship activities.
The program also offers international study opportunities through the Erasmus program, thus promoting cultural exchange and language skills with foreign universities according to established Interuniversity agreements with Parthenope University. Moreover, thanks to the activities promoted by the job placement office in collaboration with the Board of the Degree Program, connections with the professional world are encouraged.
Graduates in “Nursing” may pursue further post-basic academic paths, such as Master’s Degree courses, 1st-level short specialization degree, 2nd level short specialization degree,  and advanced training courses.
