Students learn to use and apply statistical and mathematical methods, to master “Big Data” and to utilize new computing technologies to analyze data, support business decision-making processes and evaluate investment opportunities in a variety of financial products.
Graduates can find employment in public bodies and within the National Statistical System or, in the private sector, in banks, insurance companies and economic-financial analysis centers. Students can also sit for the State examination for the national Junior Actuaries licensure.
The program is designed to provide graduates with an adequate knowledge of statistical subject areas and its applications in business and mathematical areas that focus on applications in finance and insurance.

The curriculum is designed to provide theoretical knowledge and the ability to apply it to real problems. The training provides the core tools of mathematics, statistics and data processing. The characterizing activities will provide an insight into mathematical issues in relation to financial and actuarial objectives, statistical issues for application in business contexts (design and implementation of sample surveys, market analysis, forecasting, quality control) and data processing and treatment.
