At the end of the study program the graduate gains thus a comprehensive and broad-based education in the field of human movement and sports science and also competences in the comprehension and management of physical and sports activities more broadly; moreover the graduate will gain suitable skills and tools for the management of individual and group physical and sports activities. The graduate will acquire basic notions in biology, biochemistry and medicine, and also the psychological, pedagogical, sociological, juridical, organizational, managerial and economical necessary to effectively interact with who practice sports activities, motivate them properly and to put the activity they carry on in the suitable social, economical, organizational and legal context.

 

Moreover, the program aims to create professionals such as education experts employable in public and private organizations providing social recovery and prevention services and activities to promote any kind of social inclusion.

 

The mentioned skills will be acquired through frontal lessons and practical activities, moreover the students will join workshops and seminars about the different aspects of the sports activities.

 

Concerning the comprehension capabilities, it will be evaluated through mid-term self evaluation tests.

 

At the end of the program the graduate will acquire a rigorous and updated fundamental knowledge, a good comprehension capability and evaluation of the sports science and techniques and of the related disciplinary fields. 

 

Moreover, the graduate will develop a good ability of comprehension and evaluation of the body exercises and the different results they could carry out based on the gender, age and psycho-physical condition of the executor, also in group classes. 

 

In particular, the graduate will know the biological and biomechanical base of the body movement and will be able to adapt the body exercises depending on its typology, the duration and the intensity, the graduate will be able to use the main sports and movement techniques, the measurement and evaluation methodologies (e.g. in terms of intervention efficiency), also with the aim of designing, organizing and implementing simple programs of muscular functionality recovery or muscle strengthening.

 

In brief, the graduate will be able to hold individual and group physical activity programs designed on a scientific basis, distinguished by the use of suitable methodologies of functional evaluation and follow-up programs aimed to reach specific goals agreed with the executor.

 

Moreover, the graduate will be able to promote the adoption of an active lifestyle and a fair sports practice, freed from the use of potentially harmful substances or detrimental intervention for human health.

The graduate will also be able to work in a multidisciplinary context during projects aimed at social inclusion through recreational sports activities. 

The knowledge and comprehension capabilities are developed through the whole ensemble of theoretical courses and the practical activities, also those performed in external institutions. The evaluation is mainly carried out through university exams.
