The knowledge described will enable master’s degree graduates to understand administrative, accounting, and management issues in new contexts, both operational and research-based; identify up-to-date and reliable sources of information to address the issues identified in an original way; develop original economic administration organizational models and adapt them to the operational and research context addressed; the ability to design and apply decision support and management control models.

The above knowledge is developed through theoretical lectures, supplemented by case studies and testimonials from professionals and experts, so as to stimulate students’ ability to develop original management and control models tailored to specific contexts. With regard to the ability to identify regulatory, bibliographic and reliable information sources necessary to deal with administrative and consulting issues in an original way, specific meetings (department seminars) are held, particularly aimed at second-year students, to develop the use and keyword search of regulatory, bibliographic, economic-financial data, statistics, and Italian and foreign institutional websites. Particular attention is paid to assessing the knowledge and skills acquired during the course through a final exam, which includes a thesis and its discussion with a supervisor and co-supervisor.

At the end of the training program, graduates are able to apply the knowledge acquired in the field of administrative systems (information-accounting, planning, control, and auditing) to concrete professional and business situations. The graduate profile is that of a professional with a solid and broad cultural background and technical knowledge, able to support the company management from within or from outside in decisions and operations concerning, in particular:

  • the design and implementation of institutional, organizational, and corporate governance systems;
  • economic and financial communication to stakeholders;
  • the company’s tax policy, also from an international perspective;
  • strategic decisions regarding the redesign of business processes, with a view to networking and maximizing competitive capacity and economic and financial results;
  • economic and financial planning for new investments;
  • extraordinary events in business management, such as capital transactions, recourse to financial markets, mergers and acquisitions, crises, and corporate restructuring.
