PARTHENOPE UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL

Tuition Fees and Term Dates

Each year University Parthenope  establishes the amount of tuition fees to sustain a part of the cost of services (classes, laboratories, general services) dedicated to students.

Tuition and fee costs are subject to change and are determined each year. Please be aware that future tuition costs, fees, and standard student budget amounts may differ from year to year. Updated figures will be published on this website .This amount is not constant and invariable as it depends on several factors. Tuition fees for EU and non-EU students are adjusted according to the principles of fairness, solidarity, and progressivity. They hinge on the students’ family income in order to guarantee the right to education and to the highest levels of study and to reduce the university drop-out rate. Please note that tuition fees do not include accommodation and books. The tuition fee system of Parthenope University calculates the fees according to:·

  • Economic Situation: determined exclusively by the ISEE amount (view more details on ISEE here);
  • Academic merit: based on all CFU credits obtained according to the Law 232/2016.
  • Seniority: based on all the years of enrolment at the Parthenope University

How much to pay

You can refer to the tuition fee simulator to calculate the regular fee according to your  conditions. By entering your ISEE value and the Degree Programme in which you wish to enrol, you will receive information on the amount of tuition fees which you might pay for the entire academic year, with indications on possible instalment dates.

International Students- READ CAREFULLY

University “Parthenope” DOES NOT ACCEPT payments done before students are phisically in Italy. This means that fees should be paid ONLY by those students who receive a VISA and complete the enrolment.

According to Article 8, paragraph 3, of Legislative Decree No. 68 of March 29, 2012, the economic condition of foreign students or Italian students residing abroad is determined through the Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator Abroad (ISEE Estero), calculated as the sum of income earned abroad and 20% of assets held abroad, assessed according to the procedures outlined in Article 7, paragraph 7, of the same Legislative Decree.

Students who are citizens of European Union member states are treated as Italian citizens, as provided by the Prime Ministerial Decree (DPCM) of April 30, 1997, and subsequent amendments and additions.

Non-EU students who have legally resided in Italy for at least one year are also treated as Italian citizens, as provided by the same DPCM of April 30, 1997, and its subsequent amendments and additions.

All students, regardless of their country of origin or economic condition, are required to pay a fixed fee of €200.00 for the cost of reception services.

All students are required to pay the regional educational fee, which is calculated on the basis of the ISEEU (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator for Students) plus a stamp duty. To check the amounts please refer to the “Regulation Tuition Fees A.Y. 25/26”

Students holding asylum and/or political refugee status (Legislative Decree No. 25 of January 28, 2008), refugee status (Law No. 344 of October 15, 1991), international, subsidiary, or humanitarian protection are fully exempt from paying both the comprehensive university contribution and the fixed fee for reception services.

Non-EU students with a study visa/permit, coming from lower-middle-income countries, as defined by the World Bank list, may request to be subject to the same contribution system as Italian and EU students, based on the economic condition of their household, by submitting a standardized ISEE obtained through a CAF/CAAF (Tax Assistance Center) affiliated with the university. Alternatively, they are required to pay a fixed fee of €500.00, in addition to the regional tax for the right to education (as set by ADISURC) and the stamp duty.

Non-EU students with a study visa/permit, who do not fall into the two categories above (developing countries as defined annually by Ministerial Decree or listed by the World Bank), may also request to be subject to the same contribution system as Italian and EU students, based on the economic condition of their household, by submitting a standardized ISEE through an affiliated CAF/CAAF. Alternatively, they are required to pay a fixed fee of €1,000.00, in addition to the regional tax for the right to education (as set by ADISURC) and the stamp duty.

Late enrollment penalties are waived for non-EU foreign students, due to the time required for visa issuance by embassies.

Non-EU students who wish to produce the ISEE-U to submit at the Students’ Secretariat will have to rely on one of the many CAF (Fiscal Assistance Center).

Least Developed Countries

Non-EU students with a study visa/permit, coming from particularly poor and developing countries (defined annually by Ministerial Decree), are required to pay the regional educational fee in the amount set by ADISURC and the stamp duty. They are exempt from university contributions, except for the fixed fee of €200.00 for reception services.

Refugee Students

Students who have been granted asylum and/or political refuge (Legislative Decree No. 25 of January 28, 2008), refugee status (Law No. 344 of October 15, 1991), international, subsidiary, and humanitarian protection are totally exempt from paying the all-inclusive contribution and the fixed tax for the cost of reception services.
